Mission

Our mission is to train students so that we can incorporate a cohesive, contextual and nurturing environment for learning. The emphasis is on self-motivated learning by using information, experience and practice. The teaching methodology aims at using the inputs from core functional areas to inter disciplinary issues and problem solving. To be a “Center of Excellence” in higher education relating to RMG to produce technically competent human resources for the Apparel, Textile and allied sectors at home and aboard emphasizing on innovation and creativity.

Our vision is to be one of the premier institute providing cutting edge education that transforms the younger generation towards being socially & professionally responsible so that they can easily blind into a global network as well as acquire greater appreciation from the industry. The Faculty of Fashion Technology aims to be recognized as a premier center in India that provides holistic education and training in fashion and apparel technology and whose graduates emerge as highly capable professionals in the field and contribute immensely to the growth of industry and sustainable society.

Message From Department Head

I am honored to serve as a Department head of Fashion design & Technology at BGIFT Institute of Science & Technology (BIST) since July 18, 2020. I, together with my fellow Members of my department are aware of, and committed to our responsibilities and duties. As a Dept. Head I will do whatever is in the best interest of the University and well fare of our students. I believe that we can be successful and achieve our goals of real transition.

After completion of this course the Students will join in Any Garments Factor, Buying House and Fashion House as a Designer, Product developer and Merchandiser.Even students will choose teaching profession.Nowadays a good teacher is most demanded for the FDT Department and so on not only in Bangladesh but also throughout the world. And most importantly students can choose their career as an entrepreneur by building  their own Fashion house or Boutique house
